A bill that would have limited future online gaming compacts between Nevada and other regulated states in the US has failed to progress from the committee. Backed by Sheldon Adelson, Bill AB 414 would have blocked Nevada from linking up with another state for online gaming activities, with the exception of internet poker. Nevada already shares online poker activities with Delaware, one of only two other regulated states in the US. Fantasy Sports Bill Considered in Pennsylvania

A group of representatives in Pennsylvania has put forward a new bill that would allow casinos in the state to offer on-site daily fantasy sports contests. Headed up by Representative George Dunbar, House Bill 1197 was referred to the House of Committee on Gaming Oversight last week. Details of the bill include the requirement for casinos to hold a licence in order to operate tournaments, with the bill only covering daily fantasy sports contests in land-based facilities. Las Vegas Review Journal – A draft bill that would legalize poker playing on the Internet is being floated on Capitol Hill, but Nevada Sen. Dean Heller said Tuesday there is no sign that it will move in any direction. Heller said he has been briefed on the bill by Caesars Entertainment Corp. lobbyist Haley Barbour.
