Card Player – The state of Delaware saw its three gambling facilities generate $206,833 in online gaming revenue during the month of March, according to figures from the Delaware Lottery. Poker accounted for $84,391 of that figure. Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway were given the green light late last year to begin offering online betting to those physically within the state. Februrary’s online gaming revenue was $166,454, of which poker accounted for $73,971. Revenues have been growing steadily since the launch last fall. Three casinos will launch the first phase of the Delaware online gambling operation Wednesday morning, opening web portals for free slots, poker, blackjack and roulette games. From Delaware Online – Delaware has posted its proposed regulations for Internet gambling. The document is 27 pages of dry legalese, designed to cover every possible option that a would-be licensed agent and provider could conjure up. It’s pretty impressive stuff. But it won’t work. Not that there is anything wrong with the regulations. I’ll leave that to the lawyers and other professionals to decide. It won’t work in the sense that Delaware is trying to contain online gambling.
