Birmingham Mail – A Birmingham gambling addict who lost £10,000 in a decade-long betting spree went on the rampage after frittering away his last £230. Hassan Yousaf smashed up a roulette machine with a stool, causing damage put at £6,000 at a Birmingham bookies. The 26-year-old lashed out at Ladbrokes branch in Green Lane, Small Heath, just a year after being convicted over a similar attack at a bookies in Manchester. Amaya agrees to gaming machine shipment deals in US

iGaming Business – Gaming industry entertainment solutions provider Amaya Gaming Group has announced that its Cadillac Jack subsidiary has entered into multiple agreements to ship approximately 1,100 gaming machines to new and existing customers in the US. The shipments include outright sales of gaming machines as well as upgrading existing revenue share-generating gaming machines. Gaming machine count puts New South Wales second in the world

The Guardian – New South Wales is second only to Nevada as the most gambling machine-packed state in the world, according to a new report. The World Count of Gaming Machines report, released by Australia’s poker-machine lobby group, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), has found the total number of gambling machines in Australia increased slightly in 2013 to 198,418. Japan leads the way in gaming machine count

iGaming Business – The Gaming Technologies Association has revealed that Japan is well ahead of any other country in the world in terms of the number of legal gaming machines installed throughout the nation. The association’s ‘The World Count of Gaming Machines 2013’ report found that 4,592,036 legal gambling machines are installed throughout Japan. The second-placed US was some way off with 889,070 machines, while Italy was third in the list with 412,252.
