Tribal Gaming Clears Over $34 Billion in America

The numbers are in… and they are staggering, as US Tribal Gaming operators netted $34.6  billion in 2019. Those numbers were reported by the National Indian Gaming Commission and mark a 2.5% jump in revenue. That total was derived from over 500 independent financial statements submitted to the Commission by 245 federally recognized tribes across 29 states. The Commission Chairman said that revenue for 2020 could be in jeopardy, however, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Tribal Gaming Partnership with William Hill

Tribal Gaming in New Mexico will partner with William Hill US through a new agreement with the Mescalero Apache Tribe, operator of the state’s Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino. The Tribal Gaming Fight to Protect State Gaming Compacts

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of California granted the State of California’s request to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians, and the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation for breach of their respective compacts with the State. The dismissal had nothing to do with the merits of the tribes’ position, and in particular, whether California card rooms are offering illegal house-banked games in violation of tribal gaming rights.
