The love of sports is rooted deeply in US history, and the evolution of many major leagues in this department only goes to prove this claim. Most Americans Don’t Know Sports Betting Is Illegal

A new study from the American Gaming Association says that six in 10 Americans don’t realize sports betting is a legal activity in just the state of Nevada. Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research found that just 38 percent of respondents “recognize that it is not legal in most of the nation.” A 1992 federal law limits traditional sports betting to the Silver State (Delaware has limited sports betting in the form of parlays). The AGA is pushing for that antiquated law to be replaced or repealed, as there are now Las Vegas-style casinos in about 80 percent of states. The study…

The deals lay the groundwork for the NFL, the NBA, the NHL and Major League Baseball to profit if sports betting is legalized in the United States, as many experts predict. But…

This new interpretation opened the door for states to pass online gambling legislation, and with the federal government unlikely to take action either way, it appears online gambling will be left up to each state for…

The 50-State iGaming Initiative: Hawaii to Iowa

Poker News – Internet gaming, also known as iGaming, is spreading on a state-by-state basis. Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey have already passed legislation and are reaping the tax benefits, while other states such as California and Pennsylvania are primed to follow in their footsteps. Despite efforts by Sheldon Adelson and his cronies, it seems iGaming is inevitable, but as I. Nelson Rose, Professor of Law at Whittier Law School, said in a Casino Enterprise Management gaming forecast, it’ll take time. “Two years ago, I wrote that developments on the Internet are like dog years,” Rose said. “It might have…
