Caesars Buys William Hill
In a move that is sure to shake up the gambling industry, Caesars buys William Hill for close to $4 billion. The deal was announced today, as shareholders of the British bookmaker will receive a 25% premium with a closing share price of 217.60 pence. Virgin Hotels & Mohegan Sun Hit Vegas in January
Virgin Hotels has announced that their property’s grand opening in Las Vegas has been set for January 15, 2021. Located in the space of the former Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, it will include a 60,000 square foot casino operated by Mohegan Sun. Planet Hollywood to Reopen October 8th
Caesars Entertainment has announced that another of their strip properties will be reopening soon! The Planet Hollywood hotel and casino will welcome guests back beginning October 8th with the gaming floor open 7 days a week. Wynn Las Vegas Has Over 500 Coronavirus Cases
The Coronavirus numbers are in for the Wynn Las Vegas, with well over 500 confirmed cases among staff and hotel guests reported. And while that number may sound high, it’s actually just over a rate of 3% total. The company has conducted over 15,000 COVID-19 test on employees which resulted in 548 positive cases, which calculates to a rate of 3.6%. However, there were over 50 positive tests before the hotel and casino began to welcome guests back, which lowers the infection rate slightly to just 3.3% after the reopening.
