The US state of New York is on track to generate more casino tax revenue than Nevada in the current year, according to a new report by the American Gaming Association (AGA). In 2015, New York collected $888.4 million (€803.2 million) in tax revenue, 2.8% more than in the previous year, while Nevada generated $889.1 million, 0.87% up on the previous year. Casino operators in Nevada were smiling  over Vegas revenue numbers in June 2016 according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s latest financial report. Released at the close of July, the report details a 6.9% revenue year-over-year increase thanks to a total gaming win worth $887 million. The latest changes to California’s Internet poker bill call for online gaming companies who facilitated poker games for Americans between 2006 and 2011 to be excluded from the Golden State market for five years, according to a report from The Los Angeles Times.
