The Nevada Gaming Commission state regulatory body has given its approval to Penn National Gaming’s earlier-announcement of the Tropicana purchase. As reported by iGaming Business in April, US casino and racetrack operator Penn National struck a deal worth $360 million (€314.2 million) to take ownership of the facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. New Jersey Loses Sports Betting Bid…. Again!

The federal ban on sports betting in all but four states was upheld Tuesday, dealing a blow to New Jersey’s latest effort to expand gambling options to help its struggling casinos and racetracks. UK Launches Gambling Self-Exclusion Tool

The Gambling Commission in the United Kingdom will be putting in place new licensing conditions in 2016, which will require operators to participate in a multi-operator self-exclusion plan. This will allow customers to be able to self-exclude themselves from gambling activities at UK gambling facilities. To get the ball rolling, a new national program has been created by the National Casino Forum, which is a UK gambling trade association. Ladbrokes CFO Dumps Stock Before Gala Merger

Ian Bull, chief financial officer of Ladbrokes, has opted to sell his stake in the UK bookmaker ahead of its proposed merger with rival gambling operator Gala Coral. As reported by iGaming Business, Ladbrokes and Gala Coral last month stated they were closing in on a deal that will lead to the creation of a business worth approximately £2.3 billion (€3.4 billion/$3.6 billion).
