Senior Citizens Arrested in Gambling Ring

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department busted an illegal gambling ring at a home on the 1200 block E. 15th Street. Detectives arrested and charged 10 people for their involvement in the illegal activity including an 83-year-old man. Detectives also confiscated a little over $4,400 in cash. Officers removed pull tab machines, 13 brown boxes, and some suspected cocaine. Investigators served a search warrant on the home on Tuesday. All of the suspects were transported to the Marion County Jail, except for 64-year-old Judy Buckner, who officers sent to Wishard Memorial Hospital for high blood pressure. iGaming Business – The World Lottery Association has revealed that global lottery sales increased by 4.6% in the first half of 2013 thanks to strong growth in the Latin American and Asia-Pacific regions.
