Golden Nugget Granted New Jersey Online Gambling Permit
Bloomberg – Landry’s Inc. said that its Golden Nugget Atlantic City received a license to offer Web-based gambling in New Jersey, the second casino in the state to get official clearance. Service will begin at GoldenNuggetCasino.com and GoldenNuggetPoker.com on Nov. 26, the company said today in an e-mailed statement. Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI:US) will provide the technology. Borgata, a property owned by MGM Resorts International (MGM:US) and Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD:US), previously announced approval. SOURCE
Mobile and tablet boost NetPlay interim results
iGaming Business – UK-based interactive gaming company NetPlay TV has reported a huge increase in mobile and tablet activity in its interim financial results for the third quarter of 2013. Mobile and tablet contribution increased by 171% year-on-year and 6% quarter-on-quarter. Mobile and tablet accounted for 40% of all new depositing casino players and 32% of NetPlay’s net revenue in the third quarter. Betfair Promotes New Jersey Gambling Launch
Betfair kicked off its marketing campaign in the U.S. by touting its entry into the New Jersey gambling online marketplace. “Lets Play NJ.com” is sprawled across the top of Betfair’s new websites at BetfairNJ.com and LetsPlayNJ.com. New Facebook and Twitter accounts have also been established. A partnership with Atlantic City’s Trump Plaza has already been inked.
