Online Gaming to Create Jobs for New Jersey

Online gambling is supposed to be the new job creator for Atlantic City, with online companies promising hundreds, if not thousands, of new employees will fill the ranks. But unlike the cocktail servers, bartenders, blackjack dealers, cooks, housekeepers and other service-oriented positions that have dominated the casino industry in the past, many of these new jobs will be in information technology. PokerStars, Bwin.party, 888 Holdings, 2UP Gaming and other major Web companies that operate gambling sites overseas are preparing to enter the New Jersey online gambling market when it goes live. November 26th is the scheduled start-up date. Some of…

And for 18 to 35-year-olds the problem seems worse, as this age group accounted for 60 per cent of all calls and was the only age group where the number of calls to helpline Gamcare rose in the last year. Online gambling ads banned by Swedish regulator

The adverts prompted Sweden’s Gaming Industry Ethical Council (SPER) to register a complaint with the Reklamombudsmannen – claiming they were misleading. Both sets of adverts were found to be in breach of article…

The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation has launched a campaign aimed at teenage gambling in Melbourne. The sometimes thought provoking advertising campaign, KidBet, features a 12-year-old boy promoting a made up gambling agency catering to…
