Spanish online gambling market shows quarterly decline

iGaming Business – Gross gaming revenues in the Spanish online gaming market fell by 10% on a quarter-by-quarter basis in the three months until the end of June 2013, according to the latest figures by the country’s gambling regulator, the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ). iGaming Business – Online gaming operator 32Red has posted record revenue and underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the first half of 2013 after highlighting strong growth in its mobile offerings. With mobile now accounting for 17% of total revenue – up from 8% in the first half of 2012 – total sales increased by 15% year-on-year to £19 million (€22.6 million/$30 million) in the six-month period until the end of June.
