US Internet Gambling Arrests as Businesses Raided
State BCI agents along with the Medina County Sheriff’s Office made Internet gambling arrests after they raided two alleged illegal gambling establishments Tuesday morning. The owner was arrested. The raids were at Cyber City on Medina Road in Medina and at Cyber 777′s on Pearl Road in Brunswick. “These are not internet cafes,” said Attorney General Mike DeWine. “The joint investigation shows that these locations are operating as illegal casinos with no regulatory oversight.” The owner of the businesses was taken into custody. Odd are that without a clear national policy in play, no effort will be made on the issue next year in California. Senate Bill 190 was introduced in February by state Sen. From Gambling 911 Two operators of an online gambling website based in Costa Rica have been sentenced to prison Monday. Thomas Uva IV, aka “Little T,” 32, was sentenced to 21 months, followed by three years of supervised release, and John Colello, 54, was sentenced to six months, followed by two years of supervised release.
