New Jersey Meadowlands to Begin Take Sports Bets
The Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey, says it plans to start taking sports bets on July 14. The track had previously estimated it might begin taking bets a day later. An opening ceremony is set for that morning, with the first bets placed by invited dignitaries. The track’s sports betting operation will then be open to the public. Bet365 Enters America with New Jersey Deal
Hard Rock Atlantic City and bet365 Group are partnering up for New Jersey sports betting. According to a correspondence published on the website of the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement, the two parties first signed a letter of intent back on June 19. Neither has confirmed the deal publicly or to PlayNJ. As a matter of public record, however, Director David Rebuck signed off on a portion of the partnership on June 25. West Virginia Lottery Commission Director Alan Larrick has announced that the entity has passed sports betting rules after an emergency meeting that took place last Thursday.
