Israel Sports Betting Board reports record 2013 revenue

Gaming Intelligence – The Israel Sports Betting Board (ISBB), the country’s sole licensed sports betting provider, has reported record income for 2013 with revenue up 7.3 per cent year-on-year. Total revenue rose to 1.92bn Israeli new shekels (NIS) or approximately €409m in 2013, with net profit climbing 1.2 per cent to NIS420m. The ISBB’s daily odds brand Winner remained the market-leading product with income up 3.8 per cent to NIS1.72bn, while its new horse race betting brand Racer, powered by La Française des Jeux subsidiaries Lotsys and LVS, generated income of NIS64m. Players from the country received notifications on February 19 saying that their Bet365 accounts were going to be closed on February 25. Australian Anti-gambling group to launch simulated sports betting site for children

Calvin Ayre – A group of anti-gambling campaigners in Australia is threatening to launch a simulated sports betting website and mobile app specifically designed for kids as young as five years old. Metric Gaming agrees Latin American SuperLive licensing deal

Sports betting products and services provider Metric Gaming has signed a licensing agreement for its SuperLive sports betting platform with Latin American online gaming firm Ocho Gaming. Under the agreement, Metric will provide its SuperLive HTML5 mobile-optimised products to Ocho Gaming to support the roll out of its online gaming platform in Latin and South America. Betfair and Eurofootball gain approval in Bulgaria

iGaming Business – The Bulgarian State Gambling Commission (SGC) has granted online gambling licences to gambling company Betfair and sports betting operator Eurofootball.
