Dutch regulator renews Sportech betting licence
iGaming Business – Kansspelautoriteit, the Dutch gambling regulator, has renewed the horse race and harness betting licence of pool and sportsbetting operator Sportech until the end of 2014. According to the Casinos-online.co.uk website, Sportech will pay a mandatory 2.5% of turnover in bets to the Dutch Trotting and Racing Association in return for authorisation to operate in the Netherlands. Sportech launches US fantasy sports venture
iGaming Business – Pools and tote gaming operator Sportech has announced the creation of a joint venture with fantasy sports gaming company Picklive in the US and has also acquired Data Tote, a provider of on-track and online greyhound and horse race betting services in Europe. Picklive USA will be distributed nationwide, leveraging Sportech’s extensive reach in the US, where it currently processes 50% of all horseracing bets.
