Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been suspended for betting on NFL games. The League announced the suspension earlier this week, and while they are calling it “indefinite” they do confirm that it will be at least the entirety of the 2022 season. Anyone waiting for Oklahoma sports betting just got a ray hope last week. A bill to bring the activity passed from a House Committee recently, and aims to legalize wagers on sporting events at state tribal casinos. This proposed legislation, House Bill 3008, stops short of regulating mobile betting. All transactions would be required to take place in person at a casino. In 2021, gambling in America set an all-time revenue record for the commercial gaming industry. Revenue reached $53 billion, according to our friends at the American Gaming Association. This total shatters the 2019 industry record of just under $44 billion by more than 20%.
