Kentucky settles with Bwin in $15m agreement • This Week in Gambling
From iGaming Business The state of Kentucky has announced that it has settled a case with online gambling company bwin in an agreement worth $15m (Eur11.5m). In accepting the payment from bwin, the state said the result related to civil filings in August 2010 “to recover online gambling losses by Kentucky residents” prior to the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). Bwin exited the US market when then-President George W. Bush signed the UIGEA into law in October 2006.
