Las Vegas for Less! Hotel Deals and Free Activities!

Wanna visit Las Vegas for less? I mean, the summer months are usually considered the most expensive time to visit, but why spend money you don’t have to? This week we’re sharing some amazing summer hotel deals, the cheapest ways to get around town, and some absolutely fun and free activities!

When it comes to Las Vegas, “affordable” is a relative term. And while Sin City prices may be lower at other times of the year, there are still plenty of summer deals available… if you know where to look. Let’s begin this video with the free shows and attractions all across Sin City. And we begin on the Strip with the most famous free show in town: the Bellagio fountains! An eight acre Lake with 1,200 nozzles sending water over 400 feet into the air, while inside there’s the Bellagio Conservatory: a 14,000 square foot botanical garden that changes by the season!

Other free attractions include the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, the Atlantis Show at Caesar’s Forums, the Lake of Dreams at Wynn, and the amazing Sphere Las Vegas behind the Venetian! You can also grab some pictures when you visit the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign. Plus, the Pinball Hall of Fame is right next door… and that only costs you money if you drop a quarter in a machine! Be sure to get your sugar rush on with a stop at the Coca-Cola store, Hershey’s Chocolate World, or the M&M Store… all free to visit!

The next way to see Las Vegas for less is to get up to Fremont Street for some people watching. Including street performers and zip lines. And of course there’s the free Viva Vision Canopy Show, with 16 million pixels at nearly 1400 feet long. Fremont also offers the Antiques Exhibit at Main Street Station for no charge, a free photo with a million bucks at Binion’s, and the Hand of Faith: an 875 ounce gold nugget at (where else) the Golden Nugget!

Now there are about 10 miles between Fremont Street and the Welcome to Vegas sign, which leads us to getting around town. Staying on the Strip could cost you more for a room, but you’re also closer to cheap transportation. And one of the least expensive is the Monorail. It runs all up and down the strip from 7:00 AM to midnight until 3:00 AM. On weekends, it costs less than $14 a day, and $56 for a seven day pass.

The Deuce bus service runs from near the airport all the way to Fremont Street, 24 hours a day, seven days a week! And it’s just $8 for the day and $20 for a three day pass! The Vegas loop can get you from the airport to downtown in less than 10 minutes and costs just 12 bucks, but has a varied schedule that usually runs 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. If you drive to Las Vegas, or rent a car while you’re there, you can enjoy free all day parking this summer at Resorts World, The Strat, Circus Circus, Treasure Island, and Sahara. Of course, the most common way to get around town are ride shares and taxis, which could actually be less expensive than the monorail or bus service if you have a large family or group.

Next, when it comes to summer deals and promotions at Las Vegas Resorts, there are several options… including special offers for Las Vegas locals wanting a Stay-cation, plus a brand new rewards program that just rolled out at Fontainebleau. And speaking of the Plaza, their special offer is a great way to save when you’re staying on Fremont Street. Just book your room for anytime in June, July, or August and pay $125 a night per person. That includes access to their rooftop pool, bottomless drinks, and breakfast and dinner! All with no resort fees!

Across the street at Circa there’s another way to see Las Vegas for less, as their All-In Summer Package has returned. Guests can book a two night stay through September 4th for just $400. That also includes resort fees and taxes. Then The D Las Vegas is running their Summer Fun hotel sale. Guests can save up to 60% off their reservations. That special also runs through September 4th. Another way to save on hotel rooms is by choosing an off the strip resort like the Palms, Rio or Virgin. But keep in mind that the further you move away from Las Vegas Boulevard, the further you move away from cheap transportation. So if you prefer to stay on the Strip, you might want to check out MGM properties. They will throw in a free show when you book one of their resorts. That includes two tickets to Mad Apple, MJ-1, Ka, the Blue Man Group and more.

The Strat is also offering their Summer of Value promo through August 28th. Rates are just $49 during the week and $99 on the weekends with taxes and fees included! You also get a dining credit of $25 a day and free admission to their observation deck. The Venetian is offering special rates as well with 33% off rooms, $300 in dining, offers a $100 spa credit, and two for one gondola rides. Of course, if you are considering a stay at the Venetian, then maybe these discounts and cheap activities are not at the top of your priority list anyways.

So that’s a wrap. One last personal tip to help enjoy Las Vegas for less: Remember to stop at a liquor store or mini mart once you are in Las Vegas to load up on all those snacks and drinks rather than buying them at the resort.
