According to our friends at the American Gaming Association, legal betting at regulated sportsbooks on this years March Madness betting is expected to exceed $2.7 billion, which would make the total nearly twice as much as what was bet on the Super Bowl this year. The “Long Goodbye” tour just got longer, as an Eagles residency at the Las Vegas Sphere is set begin this fall. The legendary group will land in the new venue following U2, Phish, and some dead heads. And they are doing this despite finishing their “farewell” tour, which began all the way back in September of 2023 and just finished in North American. That tour now heads to Europe through mid-June. Sad news to report, as one of our favorite places to eat in Vegas is going away. Margaritaville is closing it’s doors after more than two decades of welcoming guests… and we’re sad. Not as sad as when we lost Jimmy last September, but still sad. Margaritaville takes up a huge amount of space in Flamingo at over 32,000 square feet, and the announcement of the closure seems to follow the recent trend in casinos opting to manage theses restaurants internally instead of leasing space to other companies.
