A professional Las Vegas baseball team is looking more and more likely, now that the city of Oakland has missed a deadline to come to an agreement with their MLB franchise. The Athletics want a new stadium to play in, and the inability to get a deal wrapped up could mean that any hope of keeping the team in Oakland has now passed. As Bally’s transitions to the Horseshoe, Caesars has announced the property will feature a new Las Vegas video game arcade where the old sportsbook once was. The space will occupy 7,000 square feet and be open to all ages. Included in the facility will be over 80 video games, ranging from classic hits to the newest offerings. The space was designed by the Aria Group, and although no official launch date has been set it will debut at about the same time that the Horseshoe brand rolls out. In July of this year, we reported about Station Casinos decision to close and demolish three of their Las Vegas properties. Those included Fiesta Henderson, Fiesta Rancho, and Texas Station. Shortly afterward, the company announced a fourth casino, Wild Wild West, would also be torn down. Now, however, the company has revealed even bigger plans to expand their presence in Nevada.
