New Vegas Strip Resort Releases Details
Details about the new Vegas Strip resort being planned by billionaire Tilman Fertitta have been made public. The owner of the Golden Nugget casinos purchased land across from the Aria several months ago, and now we’re starting to get an idea of what’s in store. According to county records, Mr. Fertitta will put a 43 story hotel on the roughly 6 acre parcel. The resort will also have restaurants, bars, and a convention space, as one might expect. But there will also be a wedding chapel and theater which can handle 2,500 attendees. This new Vegas Strip resort will definitely…

Las Vegas Baseball Team Looks Likely
A professional Las Vegas baseball team is looking more and more likely, now that the city of Oakland has missed a deadline to come to an agreement with their MLB franchise. The Athletics want a new stadium to play in, and the inability to get a deal wrapped up could mean that any hope of keeping the team in Oakland has now passed. A city official had recently stated that an agreement on a $1 billion ballpark on the waterfront needed to be in place by September 30th, but obviously that date has already passed. And now, he fears that…
Vegas Video Game Arcade Coming This Fall
As Bally’s transitions to the Horseshoe, Caesars has announced the property will feature a new Las Vegas video game arcade where the old sportsbook once was. The space will occupy 7,000 square feet and be open to all ages. Included in the facility will be over 80 video games, ranging from classic hits to the newest offerings. The space was designed by the Aria Group, and although no official launch date has been set it will debut at about the same time that the Horseshoe brand rolls out. This Vegas video game arcade will be one of many new projects…

Las week we spoke about the Las Vegas Strip, and we told you about several new things headed to Sin City. Calling a Lyft to get to your destination may not be a new thing, but driver-less cars sure are. And believe it or not, your next Lyft could show up with no driver! The company has partnered with partnering with the Motiona company to make it possible….
This Week in Gambling Vegas Filming Schedule
Here at This Week in Gambling we always love meeting new people! And since we’re heading to Las Vegas for the Global Gaming Expo, we thought we’d give you a heads up on where we will (approximately) be if you want to crash our set, just say hello, or perhaps pick up the bar tab. We’re good with all three, actually. Although we may be tired from the long flight, we plan to film on the Las Vegas Strip in the early evening of Sunday, October 9th, near Bally’s… unless it’s already put up the Horseshoe signs. In which case,…
