The Oregon sports betting fight has begun in earnest, as the state lottery has contracted SBTech  to power mobile and retail sports betting. The latest update to the App Store guidelines to reflect the Apple gambling policy contains new rules which will certainly have a big impact on real-money gaming apps and, consequently, the entire industry. Gaming revenue in the state of Nevada fell below $1 billion for the first time this year when the April numbers came in at just over $936 million. Total revenue for the stats was down 1.8% from last year. Most of the states revenue is derived from slot machine play, which accounted for $658.8 million of the total gaming revenue. Online poker was the biggest winner in this week’s Wire Act decision. The judge in the U.S. District Court case of New Hampshire vs. the Department of Justice ruled that the Interstate Wire Act applies only to “activities associated with sports gambling” and not to the interstate sale of online lottery tickets.
