Video game icon Atari is emerging from bankruptcy to jump into the world of social casino gaming. The publisher is partnering with virtual games company FlowPlay on Atari Casino, a series of classic casino games such as poker and blackjack that carry themes from classic Atari games including Asteroids, Centipede and Missile Command. The Press Democrat – Revenues at California Indian casinos increased slightly in 2012, but still not as robustly as pre-recession years, according to a report being released Wednesday. California’s 68 tribal casinos raked in $6.96 billion in 2012, the most recent year available, according to Casino City’s Indian Gaming Industry Report. That was nearly a 1 percent increase over the $6.91 billion they collected in 2011. Bills to Ban Online Gambling Introduced in US Congress

Lawmakers from both the Republican and Democratic parties who want to ban online gambling have introduced legislation in the House and Senate. According to the Associated Press news agency, the bills are aimed at reversing a decision in 2011 by Attorney General Eric Holder that a 1961 law used to ban internet gambling only applied to sports betting. The new bills would expand prohibition to where it originally stood before the 2011 ruling. iGaming Business – UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has successfully launched the full range of products from online gaming software supplier Playtech across its digital platform. Ladbrokes said that the move to Playtech was part of a “wider revamping” of the Ladbrokes digital business to give customers a better experience on mobile or desktop for its sportsbook and casino services.
