iGaming Business – Three local councils have joined a list of authorities that have announced their support for an initiative to encourage the Government to restrict fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs) in the UK. According to a statement from the ‘Stop the FOBTs’ campaign, Fareham Council, Brighton and Hove City Council and Preston Council have all voted in favour of restricting FOBTs. iGaming Business – Online gaming platforms supplier Tain has finalised its second partnership in the Netherlands after announcing that it has agreed to provide Dutch land-based casino operator Casino City with fully compliant gaming systems. The deal will include casino, poker, sportsbook and payment services for online gaming. A new website design will incorporate solutions that Tain said would enable access across a range of player environments such as mobile and tablet devices. C21 Media – Big Brother producer Endemol is to invest US$13m in social casino start-up Plumbee as it looks to expand its online and mobile gaming business. The digital start-up’s existing investor Idinvest Partners is also backing the deal, which values the business at US$40m. Under the new partnership, Endemol and Plumbee will create premium social casino games, exploiting Endemol’s global entertainment brands and building on Plumbee’s worldwide user base. iGaming Business – Olympic Casino Group Baltija, a subsidiary of land-based casino firm Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG), has been issued a licence to offer sportsbetting games in Lithuania. Under the licence agreement, OEG will begin to offer sportsbetting in the country from the first quarter of 2014. OEG will offer its sportsbetting services under the OlyBet trademark, which was launched in August of this year. Philly.com – The Golden Nugget Atlantic City was given permission by New Jersey casino regulators Friday to begin offering Internet gambling. The state Division of Gaming Enforcement cleared the casino to start offering online gambling as of 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Regulators kept the Golden Nugget restricted to trial play when six other casinos were cleared to begin offering full online gambling last month.
