iGaming Business – PokerStars has had its application for online gambling in New Jersey suspended for two years by the US state’s Division of Gaming Enforcement due to ongoing concerns about the company’s founder, Isai Scheinberg. Scheinberg is still under indictment from the Department of Justice for PokerStars’ activities in the US after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006. Two footballers bailed in UK match-fixing investigation

iGaming Business – Two non-league footballers that were arrested as part of a National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation into an alleged international betting syndicate and match-fixing in English football have been bailed until Friday. According to the BBC, Whitehawk FC players Michael Boateng and Hakeem Adelakun are accused of conspiring to defraud bookmakers by influencing the course of football matches and placing bets. The pair were not required to enter a plea during and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses during a short hearing at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court. USA Today – American Indian tribes have 460 gaming facilities in 28 states, but none offers online gambling—at least not yet. Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware are the only states that have legal Internet gambling, but it is spreading internationally.
