Planet Hollywood Poker Room Opening

It’s been four years since the last Planet Hollywood Poker Room closed its doors, but as fate would have it the resort has decided to bring it back. This comes as more casinos are reconsidering poker, after many rooms were shuttered during the pandemic and just never reopened. And this move comes as the World Series of Poker is about to begin.

Unlike the high-stakes poker rooms located at the Wynn, ARIA, and Bellagio, the new Planet Hollywood Poker Room is designed with a more relaxed and entertaining vibe in mind. One of its most distinctive features is a private backroom that channels the spirit of early High Stakes Poker episodes.

Adorned with iconic imagery from classic Las Vegas films like The Hangover and Ocean’s Eleven, the space is intended for private games and may even serve as a setting for live-streamed events. Adding to its unique appeal is a balcony that overlooks the main casino floor, giving players a dynamic view of the gaming action below.

Shortly after its grand opening, the Planet Hollywood Poker Room will host the third annual Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker, running from May 12–20. The series will showcase a wide range of mixed games, including Omaha 8, Stud 8, H.O.R.S.E., Big O, and 2-7 Triple Draw, culminating in a $1,100 T.O.R.S.E. Championship. This popular series will also make its WSOP debut later this summer.
