More States Consider Fantasy Sports Regulation

While the daily fantasy industry continues to push for legal clarity in the United States, its largest operator is preparing to expand its international footprint. In the first weeks of 2017, 11 states — Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon and Washington — have introduced legislation aimed at regulating fantasy sports. Cotton’s bill, which was filed on Friday afternoon, is S. 3376 and it has been filed with the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, meaning…

The AGA is leading the effort to shape the coalition and has made sports betting its signature initiative in recent months. On Thursday, the AGA cited the NHL’s decision to locate a franchise in Las Vegas as a major step in the evolution of American sports betting. AGA senior VP of public affairs…

Lottery in America

Lottery is a game in which a participant pays a small amount of money which gives him/her an opportunity to get an ultimate prize. The American lottery culture is not exclusive, for lotteries are practiced in very many countries legally. Initially, lotteries were raffle tickets which one had to buy to participate. These would take weeks for a final draw to be held. Today, nearly all states lotteries…
