Caesars Sells Bally’s Brand

More interesting headlines today, as Caesars sells Bally’s brand name to the Twin River Holdings in Rhode Island for $20 million. The move comes after Twin River bought three properties, including Bally’s Atlantic City, from Caesars and Eldorado Resorts as the two giant companies were offloading properties in hopes of having its merger approved by regulators. After the Caesars-Eldorado merger there were rumors that the new company would sell one of their Las Vegas Strip properties. We all knew it was coming, but it’s still fun to say that Bally’s Las Vegas is once again open for business! Their reopening comes on the heels of  the reopening of Caesars Palace, the Flamingo, Harrah’s and the Paris welcoming guests back to Sin City. Caesars Entertainment “sells” Quad and Bally’s Las Vegas

AP – Caesars Entertainment Corp. is selling four properties to a separate unit that it controls for about $1.8 billion as it restructures its debt. The sale of Bally’s Las Vegas and the other three properties is valued by the company at about $2.2 billion, when debt and renovations at the Quad Resort & Casino are included. The other assets include Harrah’s New Orleans, and The Cromwell, which will open later this year and was formerly known as Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon.
