Bally’s Corporation has announced that the city has selected Bally’s for the new Chicago casino. The resort will be a $1.7 billion destination casino, with entertainment and a hotel project. Bally’s was chosen as the preferred bidder in the City’s request for proposal process to construct and operate a world-class casino resort in downtown Chicago. Bally’s worked cooperatively with city officials and community leaders throughout the RFP process to develop a project that embraced Chicago as a global gateway city, incorporating its vibrant cultural scene and highly diversified economy. Caesars Sells Bally’s Brand

More interesting headlines today, as Caesars sells Bally’s brand name to the Twin River Holdings in Rhode Island for $20 million. The move comes after Twin River bought three properties, including Bally’s Atlantic City, from Caesars and Eldorado Resorts as the two giant companies were offloading properties in hopes of having its merger approved by regulators. After the Caesars-Eldorado merger there were rumors that the new company would sell one of their Las Vegas Strip properties. Bally Technologies expands partnership with Golden Nugget

iGaming Business – Online casino and solutions firm Bally Technologies has expanded its partnership with Golden Nugget to become the exclusive enterprise-wide system provider for the land-based operator’s five gaming properties in the US. The new deal will cover Golden Nugget properties in Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi and a soon-to-be-opened casino resort in Louisiana.
