Green light for Vietnam casino to open in May

Sydney Morning Herald – Casino operator Donaco International has cleared the final regulatory hurdle in its bid to open a new hotel and gaming property in the North of Vietnam, pitched at Chinese gamblers in the bordering Yunnan province. The company is run by Joey and Ben Lim who are nephews of casino magnate K.T. Lim, the founder of Malaysian conglomerate Genting Berhad. Donaco raises the stakes in Vietnamese Casino

From Proactive Investors – Donaco International (ASX: DNA) is poised to increase its 75% stake in the joint venture company operating the Lao Cai International Hotel, after reaching a non-binding agreement in principle. The Lao Cai International Hotel, a casino in northern Vietnam, is located on the border with Yunnan Province in China – and has been operated by Donaco since 2002.
