The Golden Gate Casino marked its 120th anniversary this month, reaching a milestone as the oldest continuously operating hotel and casino in Las Vegas while undergoing a significant shift in its gaming operations. Fremont Golden Gate Casino Closing for a Week

The Christmas season may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it will also the time for the Golden Gate Casino on Fremont Street to shut down for a week. The down town landmark will temporarily shut down this month for renovations before welcoming guests again just in time for the holidays. Golden Gate Casino has announced the closure will run from December 18th through the 22nd in order to replace some carpeting.
