Wynn CEO Wants Las Vegas Strip Open in May

The head-honcho at Wynn Resorts says he wants to see the Las Vegas Strip open in early May… at least partially. Matt Maddox said that some resorts should open next month with “reduced occupancy” and various social distancing and sanitation protocols. Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak order all casinos closed for 30 days due to Coronavirus health concerns in mid-March. He later extended the closure end the end of April. Judge Approves Demolition of Las Vegas Strip hotel

A judge has granted permission for owners of the CityCenter development to demolish a flawed, half-built Las Vegas Strip hotel tower on the Strip after developers completed a fourth round of testing on the building. Clark County District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez approved CityCenter’s motion Friday, clearing the way for owners MGM Resorts International and Dubai World to raze the Harmon Hotel tower.
