November of last year marked the 33rd consecutive month, in fact. And it was helped a lot by the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Nevada Gaming Revenue Hits $1.2 Billion in August

Nevada gaming revenue kept up their winning ways in August, extending their winning streak to an amazing 30th consecutive month of generating over a billion dollars. Casinos raked in right at $1.2 billion in revenue, as reported by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This figure remains largely consistent compared to August of the previous year, albeit a slight decrease from the record-breaking Nevada gaming revenue of $1.4 billion achieved in July. Yes, January marked the 23rd consecutive month that Nevada gaming revenue streak has hit the billion dollar mark, according to a report from the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Despite Las Vegas casinos returning to full capacity, Nevada gaming revenue fell 3.3% in the month of June. The reporting of this fall coincides with the return of the new Coronavirus Delta variant which has been causing concerns of returning restrictions and the possibility of another Las Vegas casino closure.
