In the middle of a record breaking run, Nevada gaming continues to reel in huge profits. During the first month of 2024, state revenue from casinos was up nearly one percent and brought in $1.28 billion. And while that’s the biggest total ever for January, it was still far behind December’s totals of $1.43 billion. Well, this isn’t really a surprise is it? For the 18th consecutive time, Nevada gaming revenue has topped a billion dollars in a month. The numbers are in from August, and they show that the state generated over $1.2 billion for the last full month of summer. The data was compiled by the  Nevada Gaming Control Board, and it shows that revenue was up nearly 27% from August of 2019, before the Coronavirus pandemic forced the closure of the city for several months. Nevada Gaming Win Crawls Back Over $1 Billion

For the first time since February of 2020, the Nevada gaming win has topped $1 billion. This is yet another strong indication that the state is recovering strongly from the pandemic. The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that gaming in the state raked in a win of $1.066 billion in March, which was up from just over $770 million in February. Nevada Investigates Health and Safety Issues

Amid a huge spike in COVID-19 cases, the Nevada Gaming Control Board launched investigations into more than 150 alleged health and safety issues related to Coronavirus. Afterward, three formal complaints were filed. The complaints included allegations that patrons did not wear face coverings or wore them improperly while playing slot machines. Nevada’s casinos were allowed to reopen June 4th after over two months of closure to help contain the spread of the the virus. Nevada Gaming infiltrates Bitcoin poker site for criminal charges

Casino City – A special agent with the Nevada Gaming Control Board infiltrated a Bitcoin-fueled poker website to help launch what authorities on Tuesday said was the first state-level criminal prosecution of illegal online poker. “The industry must be licensed and controlled,” Attorney General Adam Laxalt said at a news conference, while flanked by A.G. Burnett, chairman of the Nevada State Gaming Control Board, and Tony Alamo, chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission.
