New Jersey Asks Appeals Court to Legalize Sports Betting

New Jersey officials cannot put a stop to sports wagers, but they hope to “shine a light” on it by asking a court to legalize sports betting at casinos and racetracks, a lawyer said in a high-stakes hearing Wednesday before a federal appeals court.
