PokerStars US Expansion Could Reach 13 States

The Stars Group has entered into an agreement with Reno-headquartered casino operator Eldorado Resorts to gain access to 11 US states. That means PokerStars US expansion could hit 13 states in total when coupled with it’s operation in New Jersey and pending launch in the Pennsylvania online poker market. PokerStars in Pennsylvania Ready for Early 2019

The long awaited dream of PokerStars in Pennsylvania is finally becoming a reality! The Gaming Control Board signed off on two more interactive gaming petitions during a Wednesday meeting in Harrisburg, and PokerStars is one of them. PokerStars received authorization to offer its full suite of online gambling products, while with Mohegan Sun Pocono is also conditionally approved for online slots and table games. PokerStars Parent Company Buys British Bookmaker

UK-based firm Sky Betting and Gaming (SBG) is to be sold to a Canadian company for about £2.5bn, it has been announced. The Stars Group Inc – which owns PokerStars, an online card room – said the deal will make it the largest publicly listed online gaming company in the world. SBG is currently in the middle of a multimillion-pound sponsorship deal with the English Football League. Rafi Ashkenazi, Stars Group’s chief executive, said SBG would complement the PokerStars platform and give the group potential for growth. PokerStars Sets April Launch Date for India

PokerStars is to go live in India from the middle of next month as the poker site enters a potential market of more than a billion people. Rational Intellectual Holdings Ltd and its India licensee, Sachiko Gaming Private Ltd, have announced that the PokerStars India website will commence operations on April 17. It was announced earlier this month that Pokerstars.in would launch as a replacement for Khelplay, a website owned by Sachiko Gaming division Sugal & Damani. Khelplay ceased operations on March 15. PKR Players to be Paid by PokerStars

PokerStars has agreed a deal to reimburse players who lost money as a result of the recent closure of rival operator PKR. In May, PKR appointed administrators after confirming that both the PKR Ltd and PKR Technologies Ltd businesses were suffering from financial issues. UK-focused PKR subsequently ceased all operations and, as a result, left a large number of its customers out of pocket.
