We have watched regulated sports betting sweep across the country like wildfire. The US Supreme Court decided just over four years ago that the decision to allow sports wagers was a States Rights issue, and in that time over half of them have decided to legalize the activity. Just this month, Maine sports betting became the 34th market in the nation. Then a few weeks later, sports betting in Kansas followed as the 35th. Kansas 35th State with Regulated Sports Betting

It’s official! Regulated sports betting has come to Kansas, making them the 35th state to pass legislation to legalize the activity. Industry insiders believe that Kansas sports betting will be up and running in time for this years NFL season. The Hollywood Casino in Kansas City, run by Penn National Gaming, say they plan to launch retail and mobile sports betting the first day they are legally permitted. Governor Laura Kelly signed the bill into law which found her desk just last month. The activity is expected to generate over $40 million within 5 years, and 80% of that revenue…

63% of Americans Want Regulated Sports Betting

A survey released by the American Gaming Association shows that an overwhelming majority of Americans — 63 percent — support legal, regulated sports betting in the wake of the May 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning the sports wagering ban in the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act. In the months since the Supreme Court deemed PASPA unconstitutional, 10 states and the District of Columbia have passed bills to authorize regulated sports betting, and 15 states have authorized sports betting.
