New Jersey is set to begin the next phase of their long legal case aimed at bringing sports betting to the boardwalk of Atlantic City. UK Footballer Suspended for Match Betting

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend has received a four-month ban by the Football Association (FA) for match betting on football games. Townsend is not accused of wagering on matches he was a part of, but nevertheless found himself in hot water and fined £18K for breaching the FA’s player betting regulations. Three months of the ban have been suspended until July 1st, 2016 and will be enforced if the footballer gets into any more trouble during that time-frame. Bulldog777 sportsbook “temporarily” closed?

From SBR Forum A Bulldog777 (unrated) player has filed a sportsbook complaint. The user joined Bulldog777 in early May and deposited £200. He received a 50% bonus and began wagering, eventually increasing his balance to £817. Bulldog777 allegedly confiscated his balance without word more than two weeks ago. Bulldog777 has since closed their sportsbook while keeping the casino open. Bulldog777 website notice to players: “Technical issues with the sportsbook software provider have forced us to temporarily block player access. Governor signs bill banning sports kiosks in small casinos

From Las Vegas Sun A bill stopping small casinos and slot bars from running sports and race books has been signed into law by Gov. Brian Sandoval. The bill, Senate Bill 416, was sought by the Nevada Resort Association, which represents many of the major casinos in Las Vegas. Bars and small casinos with restricted slot licenses for 15 or less machines will be prohibited from having kiosks in their business where a customer can place a wager on a sporting event or horse race. Opponents of a bill to ban sports betting kiosks at bars and taverns hope to make a defensive stand in the Nevada Assembly after the measure cleared the state Senate. If approved, Senate Bill 416 would prohibit the free-standing sports-betting machines in small establishments with restricted gambling licenses as of July 1. “We’re still alive on the other side,” said Keith Lee, a Reno lawyer and lobbyist for William Hill, said Wednesday.
