The United States commercial gaming industry reported a notable increase in its monthly performance for February, with US gambling revenue climbing 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year. According to the latest Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker from the American Gaming Association, the industry generated total monthly revenue of 4 billion dollars. US gaming firms ‘courting’ UK programmers
Contractor UK – British computer games programmers are increasingly being head-hunted by US and Canadian companies whose pockets may be deeper, risking a “brain drain” of UK IT talent. Issuing this warning, Procorre said that more than half of the online gaming job adverts aimed at UK programmers were for jobs in North America, where the consultancy firm says pay might be higher.
