More Las Vegas Resorts End Free Parking

The price of having a car is headed up in Sin City. Additional Las Vegas resorts have decided to follow the lead of others and bring back paid parking… and more will surely follow. Is this pure greed? Is this a cash grab? Well, yes and no. First of all, the latest Las Vegas resorts to put this plan into action are the Wynn and Encore. Cosmopolitan, Encore, & Wynn Las Vegas Open 100%

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has allowed The Cosmopolitan, Encore, and Wynn Las Vegas to begin operating at full capacity this week. All three properties met the Board’s conditions to open at 100% by having at least 60% of their employees vaccinated. However, there were over 50 positive tests before the hotel and casino began to welcome guests back, which lowers the infection rate slightly to just 3.3% after the reopening. Also significant is that contact tracing results showed that 98%…

Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox said that when the time is right the company will probably reopen both of its Vegas Strip resorts together in a limited capacity. Maddox added that reopening ultimately would depend on public health benchmarks set by state officials and by Wynn’s reopening plan that was released in April. “Clearly, we won’t be opening large mass gathering places — nightclubs or convention…
