Additionally, 81 entries fell when Dallas lost on Sunday night. While Detroit survived a close contest that required overtime against New Orleans, no other losing team held more than 50 picks. A small group of 30 entries remained tied to the final Monday night game between Kansas City and Denver, leaving 16,985 entries active in the main contest.

Out of 77 total entries in that contest, 28 selected Los Angeles, representing 36.4% of that specific field. Those were the only participants eliminated from that event, leaving 49 remaining to compete for the $7.7 million top prize.
According to Circa Sports executive Mike Palm, the combined downfall of Los Angeles in both contests wiped out $10.3 million worth of entry fees. That figure set a record for the largest dollar amount lost on a single team in one week across these tournaments. Despite the heavy losses, thousands of hopeful contestants remain in pursuit of the ultimate payout as the football season moves into its second week.
