jail prisonGambling911 – A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Argentina for allegedly hacking into online gambling sites and payment processors.

Dubbed “the superhacker”, the teenager was making $50,000 (£31,500) a month, working from his bedroom in Buenos Aires, police told the Reuters.

Police actually shut down power to the suspect’s neighborhood in order to prevent the deletion of sensitive data.

The unidentified man and his accomplices utilized thousands of dummy computers to attack targets with malware viruses.

The police operation, which occurred following a year long investigation, included five raids in the capital and the city of Rosario, about 300km (190 miles) north.

If convicted, the hacker could serve more than 10 years in prison.
