Four more Internet domains have been added to the ‘blacklist’ of betting websites banned in Belgium.

The Belgian Gaming Commission has added Betsafe, InterCasino, 1bet2bet and Casino Belgie to a list that, according to reports in the country, now includes 76 domains.

Under recently introduced rules in the country, only land-based operators can apply for online gambling licences in Belgium.

However, reports have indicated that the websites are still open to users in the country and are yet to be blocked.

“People who use the websites could be fined but that is not our primary goal,” Commission chairman Etienne Marique said.

“However, we want to see these websites removed from our territory.”
