BragBet to partner Northern Ireland Football League

socceriGaming Business – Irish online betting and social networking company BragBet has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal to become the official betting partner of the Northern Ireland Football League

BragBet, which is backed by telecommunications company Telefonica, claims to be the world’s first team betting service that allow groups of friends to form a team and bet against the bookmaker as a syndicate.

Players can access the service and interact with each other via mobile and online platforms.

“We are delighted to announce our partnership with the NI Football League on the back of our decision to move our head offices from Dublin to Belfast,” BragBet’s chief executive officer, Phil Riordan, said.

Graeme Beggs, NI Football League’s marketing and communication manager, added:  “They are a young and incredibly exciting company who, in our opinion, could revolutionise the way fans interact with each other by combining social media and betting in the one platform.

“We have looked at a number of potential partners, but no business shared our vision of a combined social media and football product quite like BragBet.”

The announcement comes shortly after iGaming Business reported earlier this year that BragBet had also signed a similar deal with the Football Association of Ireland to become the official betting partner of the national governing body and the Republic of Ireland national football team.
