The Nevada Gaming Control Board has allowed The Cosmopolitan, Encore, and Wynn Las Vegas to begin operating at full capacity this week. All three properties met the Board’s conditions to open at 100% by having at least 60% of their employees vaccinated. Additionally, the properties can now remove any restrictions, such as plastic barriers between games and at gaming tables, which were in place for social distancing. Pushing toward a 100% capacity limit by June 1st, about half of Nevada casino workers have now received the Coronavirus vaccine. However, many of the larger resorts are reporting that up to 70% of their employees have been inoculated. It is being reported that Red Rock Resorts has officially sold their Las Vegas Palms to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. For the first time since February of 2020, the Nevada gaming win has topped $1 billion. This is yet another strong indication that the state is recovering strongly from the pandemic.
