Voters across America have made their decisions on gambling expansion in their states. They went to the polls in Colorado, Nebraska, and Virginia to approve expanded casino gaming. Meanwhile, residents of Louisiana, Maryland, and South Dakota approved ballot measures to legalizing sports betting. Boyd Launches Cashless Gambling in Indiana
We have recently reported that some operators were contemplating a move toward cashless gambling in the wake of Coronavirus concerns. Now, Boyd Gaming has implemented the process at their Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana. Las Vegas Sands Could be Sold
Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp is exploring a sale of its flagship casinos in Las Vegas for about $6 billion, a source told Reuters on Monday, with the move likely to mark the exit of the group’s chairman from the U.S. gambling industry for now. The properties included in the potential sale are Sands Expo Convention Center, the Venetian Resort Las Vegas and the Palazzo, the source added, asking not to be identified. They’ve been teasing us for months, and now Circa Las Vegas opens their doors of their “adults only” resort down on Fremont Street! Owner Derek Stevens says the hotel and casino is the world’s biggest sports betting complex with a six-pool rooftop swimming stadium. He expects to bring in thousands of players a day.
