Gambling in Sweden Set to Expand

Gambling in Sweden is set for a major expansion, as the country has issued issued 16 new gaming licenses. The country’s local gaming regulator, Lotteriinspektionen, announced that it has granted licence applications for those gaming companies ahead of the reorganization of the local market due at the beginning of 2019. US Sports Betting Operators form Integrity Organization

A collective of US sports betting operators have announced the formation of a new national non-profit organization to help monitor integrity and fight fraud in the wake of the strike down of PASPA in June and the subsequent growth in sports wagering. Under the working title of the Sports Wagering Integrity Monitoring Association (SWIMA), the group will collaborate with state and tribal gaming regulators, law enforcement and other stakeholders. Church Fire Alarm Leads to Gambling Arrests

Firefighters called to reports of a fire at a Houston church uncovered more than 100 slots and casino machines, leading to several gambling arrests. Firefighters arrived to find no signs of fire. However, the person who reported the incident said he was locked in by an electronic door lock. Crews made their way into the church, where they revealed a large gaming room.
