Delays for Louisiana Online Sports Betting

Although betting on sporting events is now legal within its borders, the Gaming Control Board has announced that Louisiana online sports betting is not quite ready for the public. The state approved and legalized sports wagers back in June, and land based sports betting launched earlier this month. Despite this, however, the regulation of gambling over the internet has caused additional issues. And now the state police are involved. Florida Sports Betting Dispute Nears an End

The complex and far reaching consequences of Florida sports betting may finally come to an end this Monday, as a Federal Judge says she will most likely issue her summary judgment on this matter by November 15th. The monthly revenue for the state was more than $22 million, which barely missed setting another record for revenue in a month. Their best month ever was slightly over $23 million. Meanwhile, Tennessee sports betting is doing better than anyone expected. The state’s Education Lottery there have been $1.7…

DraftKings & FanDuel Take on Seminoles & Florida

The battle for betting on sports in Florida has DraftKings & FanDuel going on the offense to challenge the Seminoles exclusive contract with the state of Florida. And with so much on the line, everyone is watching. The state and the Tribe entered into an agreement back in May which would bring sports betting to the state. That deal provided the Seminole Tribe the right to offer sports wagering to state residents. However, the ink wasn’t even dry on that agreement with calls began to go out asking that the Federal Government step in and put an end to the…
