Intralot awarded New Mexico contract extension

The US division of Greek-owned gaming and lottery operator Intralot has been awarded a contract extension to operate its online lottery gaming system in the state of New Mexico.

The New Mexico Lottery Board gave the green light for Intralot to continue operating its lottery and related products and services for a further three years, until 2018, extending an existing seven-year partnership.

“I look forward to continuing our productive relationship with Intralot as the lottery moves towards new technology and sales channels benefiting the future of New Mexico through our support of higher education,” New Mexico Lottery interim director David Barden said. “As our partner, Intralot has consistently provided excellent technology and service at a value-based price.”

Intralot USA president and chief executive officer Tom Little added: “Upon the award of the contract in New Mexico our first task was to successfully complete the difficult task of upgrading New Mexico’s current system to an Intralot solution.

“Once the system was converted, our team have continued to meet the needs and goals of the New Mexico Lottery and are pleased to continue our relationship with the award of the extension of our contract. We will continue to stand by the lottery and support its efforts to increase its sales for the benefit of the state’s good causes.”

Intralot group chief executive officer Constantinos Antonopoulos added: “Intralot’s well-established presence in the US ratifies our relationship of trust with the US Lotteries. This extension of our contract is a result of our consistent offering of pioneering products and services that focus on addressing the needs and expectations of the Lotteries, as well as the hard work and dedication to excellence of the Intralot USA team.”
